MUCHAS MÁS

Muchas Más BBG is starting in El Salvador this May 2021, when the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences are far from ended. With Muchas Más BBG, we want to contribute to the prevention of education dropouts, and the development of digital skills in the context of COVID-19, bringing music and technology skills in a friendly way to Salvadoran girls and young women from poor and vulnerable contexts, while they learn and reflect about their rights as young women.

MUCHAS MÁS has been working for the last 17 years in El Salvador for facilitating access to education for girls and young women coming from contexts of poverty and exclusion, with an integral and comprehensive feminist intervention aiming they increase and achieve full control over their lives. Now, as Muchas Más BBG we will be expanding our activities and pursue bringing musical skills and recreational spaces to girls and young women that lack such opportunities. Our first project will be taking place from May to July 2021, where we will be piloting our Music with Rights Methodology with young women and girls from the Muchas Más project and also from local young feminist and women's organisations. Concluded this and once we have learned from experience, we will be developing similar projects in different localities in the country with girls and young women from rural and urban-marginal communities.
