Sunna Ingólfsdóttir

Sunna Ingólfsdóttir is a musician and anthropologist from Iceland. She has studied violin, dance and jazz singing. Sunna has been singing and rapping from a young age, most recently with the groups Adda and Cell7. She is now working on her own music from a crowded corner in her living room. Sunna is a co-founder of Stelpur rokka! Girls Rock Iceland, a feminist music project for girls, gender expansive people, trans people and intersex people, with a strong focus on social justice teaching. Since 2012 she has been empowering kids and adults through camps, workshops and international collaborations. She has also taught piano and music theory to kids in primary school, mixing it up with songwriting, experimentation and social justice learning. Sunna is currently on Stelpur rokka!’s board and in the early days of co-founding the music release Red Moon, for all women, gender expansive- and trans people. She is a recent member of Beats by Girlz Denmark and looks forward to contribute more.
